This series iis about human experience and in this theme looks to the elements of that experience, to worlds lived and imagined, the spiritual and the emotional, memory and promise. It’s the balancing act of grounding and departure – always looking for the light through the tangle of life. A path/signpost for renewal, growth and reclamation. And it’s in honesty, about creating a …as is…something apprehended and unknowable….to formualate the possibility of…

arrangement of lines and planes outlines the idea of a space, place…landscape..influenced by experience….narrative…emotionally charged….invisible…governed by manner in which material/paint is used…paint strokes/lines (palette knife) appear to create a third dimension of the image….gravity draws the paint downward…..lush style is perfectly expressive and indicative of the artist’s virtuosity….openess to experience…means acknowledging the risk…creative liviing requires courage. Taking the road less travelled will never be easy but it will always take you to the extraordinary places not many people have been. forces, pulls and elongates reflection….long controlled strokes are almost arabesque. They are almost lyrical ribbons. They are almost landscapes. The lines are almost patterns…most alive…the lines are deliberate. The movements are controlled. yearning for movement…embody contradictions….lines curve vertically and horizontally, and slightly towards the viewer…pulling you in…sections of iridescent acrylic peek/shimmer through ….opportunities for transcendence….micromoments of connection…moving through and around them…energy…paintings come alive as you live around them. They interact with the changing light, and they change their dialogue as you grow and change….Breathe in gratitude…for moments…monumental change is made in tiny increments that are impossible to see in a moment. Only over time. Change is inevitable in life as we are all constantly in various state of changes. I find with change comes opportunities to grow and reinvent ourselves to reach greater heights. ever-evolving self care journey….striving to create the best versions of ourselves every single day….

This personal journey is one every individual will benefit from taking. It is a process that involves breaking down – shedding layers that do not serve us in our lives and don’t reflect who we really are. Yet, it also involves a tremendous act of building up – recognizing who we want to be and passionately going about fulfilling our unique destiny – whatever that may be. It’s a matter of recognizing our personal power, yet being open and vulnerable to our experiences. To lead a free life, a person must separate him/herself from negative imprinting and remain open and vulnerable. In order to find ourselves, we must all seek out our own personal sense of purpose.

When we know what we want, we are challenged to take power over our lives. No longer are we engaging in a spiral of negative thinking that tells us all the things that are wrong with the world around us or all the reasons we can’t have what we want. Instead, we are accepting ourselves as a powerful player in our own destiny. Harnessing our personal power is essential to both finding and becoming ourselves.
